Nigeria’s House of Representatives has urged the Federal Capital Territory Minister to stop planned move to close five hundred and fifty private private schools.
The FCT Administration had disclosed its readiness to close the affected schools.
Representative Albert Adeosun from Osun State brought the matter before the House.
He said the closure of schools without panacea for replacement would expose the children to crime and abuse.
Adeosun is also worried about the consequences of throwing many teachers and other staff into the unemployment market
