TVC E – After leaving many to wonder why his music always centres on women, the Shakara crooner, Samcole has broken silence on his choice of music style.
When asked why he sings about women, the light-skinned dude said, “singing about women to me isn’t deliberate. It’s more of an unflinching love and admiration that I have towards a gender that is more like the bedrock of life after God. It’s my sincere way of appreciating their immense contribution to mankind.”
That Samcole refers to God is not surprising as he was groomed in the church. Though he says his signing to a label to sing secular songs was a shock to his church, he was able to reconcile the difference.
“I had to explain the difference between secular music being a business and church music being used as a tool to worship God,” said Samcole, “and they got to understand and we all live in peace and still relate well with each other without any obstacles.”
Samcole however said he is set to drop his debut album this year. The singer, whose single, My Baby Bad, featuring Olamide is currently making waves, boasting five singles.
