The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State, Felix Obuah, has said that the party will receive its former members back into the party as the prodigal son and would carry them along in the party.
Obuah described the defection of some All Progressives Congress members into the PDP after Governor Nyesom Wike’s victory at the Supreme Court as unprecedented.
In a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Jerry Needam, the PDP chairman said the party was large enough to accommodate those who left the PDP at the eleventh hour due to the fear that the judgment of the Supreme Court would not favour Governor Wike.
