TVCE, INTERVIEW – Unhealthy competitions, resentment and hatred from competitors are needed at times to make headways in life.
These may best describe the views of the Political Science graduate turned rapper, Michael Stephens, stage name Ruggedman, when he featured on TVC’s online personality talk platform, TVCconnectMeets.
Speaking against the backdrop of his unconventional “beef master” title, Ruggedman said he remains the only artiste who has made more money off “beef”
“I didn’t know I am the beef master, but people say. What I can say is that I think I remain the only artiste who has made more money off beef”
On his current relationship with his hitherto friend, 9ice, Ruggedman said he maintains an arm-leg relationship going by what has gone wrong between both of them.
“My relationship with 9ice is just there, it’s just like arms-leg relationship. What he did now was what we asked him to do six years ago. It takes a lot build something, but it takes a short time to break it”
On the possibility of any future collaboration with the Alapomeji singer, Ruggedman said everything is possible.
“Everything is possible as far it is life. Idris Abdukareem still did collaborations with many of those he had issues with, so everything is possible”
It would be recalled that 9ice had in 2010 allegedly accused Ruggedman of having affair with his ex-wife, Toni Payne.
This was followed by 9ice’s controversial single titled Once Bitten. Tongues wagged and the rumour mill claimed 9ice sang about his marriage in the song. Many were quick to say 9ice was referring to Ruggedman as the man he said he caught sleeping with his lover.
Since then, there relationship has gone sour until recently when 9ice was reportedly written an apology letter to the “beef master.”
