TVC E, POLITICS – Protesters stormed the National Assembly on Tuesday morning to register their displeasure against planned moves to suspend Senator Kabiru Marafa from the Senate.
It’s convener is a non governmental organisation, Open Society for Good Governance Initiative.
Placards calling for the suspension of senate President President, Saraki and No to planned suspension of Senator Kabiru Marafa were visibly displayed.
Armed policemen were stationed to forestall likely breakdown of law and order.
The leader of the group, Emeka Ude said the peaceful and quiet protest, was to encourage further dialogue among the federal legislators.
