Nigeria move up in latest FIFA rankings

Super-Eagless-at-traininGTVC E, SPORTS – Nigeria have moved up three places to 63rd position in the latest FIFA ranking released on Thursday.

The win against Niger and draw with Tunisia at CHAN 2016 have improved the Super Eagles’ rating in world football.

The  win over Ivory Coast and draw with Angola in warm-up matches for the tournament in Rwanda would have also added more points to the Eagles.

Nigeria are now 12th in Africa with Ivory Coast still the best ranked African team as they are now 28th in the world.

Super Eagles AFCON 2017 rivals Egypt are now 55th in the world and eighth in Africa.
