TVC E. The body of late Olubadan of Ibadan land Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade I will be interred today at Igbo Elerin in Ibadan. TVC News correspondence reports that the lying in state is on going at the Cathedral of St. Peter, Aremo Ibadan as at the time of this report.

The funeral rites for the late monarch started since the 6th of February. The late Olubadan was born Igbo Elerin, Ibadan.
Senator Abiola Ajimobi, Oyo State Governor, however described the late monarch as “an accomplished human being by all standards’’ and wished his virtues would be replicated in every other appointed Olubadan.
He solicited the support of the people of the state in giving the late monarch a befitting burial. Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade was responsible for the creation of 14 local government in Oyo State, he has raised the power of traditional ruler-ship. The vice president and prominent Nigerians are expected to grace the funeral ceremony of the late Olu- Ibadan of Oyo state.
