The 2016 Lagos City Marathon kicked off on the 6th of February and Nigeria’s most reliable TV station TVC News Nigeria is on ground to cover the event.
Themed ”Let’s Run Lagos,” started at the entrance of the National Stadium, Surulere, at 7AM and climax at the Eko Atlantic Site in Victoria Island, Lagos.
31 elite runners from 8 countries participated in the race which is broadcasting live on TVC News Nigeria’s sister channel TVC Entertainment.
The top runners were 24 men and seven women marathoners. Among these marathoners are 11 men who have won IAAF gold label and 9 are from Kenya.
