Male Winners
Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode in his closing speech, made a statement “this is a historic moment, it was held 30 years ago”
The Marathon was a success and winners from each category were appreciated and honoured by the organisers.
Abraham Kiptom won the male category at 2 hours, 16 mins from Kenya. While Halima Hussien won the Female category at 2 hours ,38 mins, 36 secs from Ethiopia.
Female Winners
The winners from other categories, like the special and children were given high end Airtel phones and cash prizes.
Gov. Ambode also stated that this marathon would set the pace for the rest of the world and this is just the beginning.
This is certainly one to look out for in the future.
