Boko Haram insurgents
TVC E, NEWS – The federal government has appealed to Nigerians to avoid tacitly supporting the insurgents Boko Haram through comments that suggest a recent resurgence of the terror group in the North East part of the country.
Addressing journalists in the nation’s Capital, the minister of information and Culture, Lai Mohammed noted that the insurgents thrive on propaganda and despite its recent activities, remains largely decimated, dispersed and disoriented.
The Minister urged Nigerians to give the military total support in its ongoing battle to consolidate the great achievements it has recorded in the fight against Boko Haram.
On what the government is doing to end the spate of attacks, especially against highly-vulnerable communities, Lai Mohammed said appropriate measures, in line with global best practices, were being taken to ensure an effective response.
