History has been made in Unilag (University of Lagos) as one of its students has graduated with what has been graded ‘excellent’ an outstanding CGPA of 5.00 in all courses taken.
The student Daniel Dada Ayodele who was a psychology student has made Unilag proud as this will be the first of its kind in the history of Nigeria’s educational system.
Unilag Vice Chancellor, Prof Rahamon Bello during a pre-convocation briefing on Wednesday the 24th 2016 said “This year, a record has been set. A graduating student in the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, Mr Ayodele Daniel Dada is graduating with a CGPA of 5.00”
“A perfect score. This means he scored As in all courses he took in the programme. I congratulate the graduate with a First Class.”
Daniel Dada has set a perfect score record and would be one of the 178 First Class students that would graduate during the three-day convocation programme.
The VC noted that a total of 10,907 students will be graduating including 5,472 undergraduates and 5,435 postgraduates, also a total of 177 others will be bagging First Class degree certificates along with Dada.
The convocation programme, which has started will also include a media briefing which will feature a convocation lecture to be delivered by the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonaya Onu on Monday, February the 29th 2016
