D.R. Congo beat Mali 3-0 to win CHAN 2016

cONGO-mALI-chanTVC E, SPORTS – It’s party time in Kinshasa as youngster Elia Meschack scored twice to help DR Congo win their second Africa Nations Championship title after beating Mali 3-nil in the final on Sunday.

The Leopards won the maiden title in 2009 in Ivory Coast.

Sunday’s triumph also means D.R. Congo have now won the CHAN title as many times as they have the Africa Cup of Nations. They won in 1968 and 1974.

Elsewhere, Ivory Coast defeated Guinea 2-1 to finish third at the tournament in Rwanda.
