TVC E, POLITICS – The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal of Senate President Bukola Saraki against his trial by the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
Saraki took the matter to the apex court after the Court of Appeal ruled that the CCT was right to try him on a 13 count charge of false assets declaration.
The Supreme Court on Friday, dismissed his appeal against the Court of Appeal’s verdict in a unanimous decision read by Justice Samuel Walter Onnoghen.
The court dismissed all the six issues raised by Saraki, ruling in favour of the prosecution.
