High Court sends Abba Moro to Kuje prison

TVC E, NEWS – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arraigned the former minister of interior, Abba moro, the permanent secretary Anastasia Nwobia and two others, before justice Anuwulika Chikere of the Federal High court in Abuja.

They were arraigned on an 11 count charge, bordering on obtaining by false pretence, money laundering and procurement fraud.

They all pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Counsel to the 2nd accused, Chris Uche, said his client had been on administrative bail since last week Monday, the 22nd of February, because she was a nursing mother.

He prayed the court to allow the bail continue, pending when the substantive bail application would be heard

In her ruling, Justice Chikere held that the 2nd defendant, (the perm sec) should continue with the administrative bail, while the other accused persons, be remanded in prison custody till the 2nd of march, when their bail application, would be heard.
