TVC E, MOVIES – The 2016 edition of the Pan African Film Festival is underway in Los Angeles and Nollywood is well represented at the festival.
Short film Chuks is one of the films up for screening. It tells the story of a man that facilitates the transportation of desperate Nigerian illegal immigrants who are looking for a better future on the greener pastures of North America.
The Nigerian remake of the Hollywood classic “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” will also screen at the festival. It is a comedy that follows Ade as she struggles to introduce her lover to her mother.
Award winning film Gone Too Far is also set to screen. The narrative feature film tells the story of a Nigerian who moves to the UK to stay with his family and his experiences with the culture.
Short Film Prey is also up for screening at the festival. It tells the story of a woman stalked by a psychopath.
Hip Hop musician Wale will screen his documentary “Mo Wa Lati” at the festival. It documents the rappers journey to reconnect with his Nigerian roots.
The Pan African Film Festival is dedicated to the promotion of cultural understanding among peoples of African descent and also promote racial tolerance through the exhibition of film, art and creative expression
