Sammie, wife of Afro-Juju music singer, Sir Shina Peters, is back in Nigeria after battling with cancer. Prior her recent recovery, Sammie has been in the United States of America undergoing Chemotherapy to help combat the ailment.

On Thursday, January 7, 2016, a very happy Sammie arrived Nigeria in the company of her husband, Sir Shina Peters and their only son, Clinton. The family’s Iju home was filled with family, friends, and well wishers especially from her church, The Redeemed Christian Church of God.
Sammie said God took control; He reversed her ugly situations and made her beautiful again. She is said to be full of to adoration and honor God. She also promised to serve only Him because He has made her whole again.
She also extended her grateful hands to all well-meaning Nigerians and the ever supportive Nigerian media for their prayers and good wishes via her Facebook wall.
Sir Shina Peters also expressed his joy that he personally returned to Nigeria with Sammie alive. He said that Sammie has been a great supporter, an amiable, loving wife and mother to his children. She does not deserve such a dark moment in her life. He confessed that since they resigned their faith to God, He took control and the result is a hale and hearty Sammie.
Sammie returned to Nigeria few hours days to her 56th birthday.
