TVC E, SPORT – Manchester United have confirmed that goalkeeper Victor Valdes has joined Belgian side Standard Liege on loan until the end of the season.
The Spain international signed an 18-month contract at Old Trafford back in January 2015, with the option of a further year, but it has been a frustrating stay in England.
Valdes, made two first-team appearances in David de Gea’s absence at the tail end of last season but fell out with manager Louis van Gaal after refusing to play in a reserve game.
