TVCE (Music) – Popular R&B singer, Timi Dakolo will bring his art to bear in the third edition of musical drama, “Love Is…The Musical”, taking place on February 5, at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Dakolo who won big at the last edition of Headies Awards is expected to headline a 40-man cast in the creative presentation of a musical story of three female characters – a poet, a professional dancer and a businesswoman – who are on a journey in search of love.
The show follows their journey of discovery as they attempt to answer the question “What is Love?”.
The show, created and directed by Ice Nweke and produced by Ixtreme and Limitless Mind Africa, organisers say “Love Is…The Musical” will be preceded by an art exhibition entitled “Love Becomes Art” at 6pm.
The night will also witness comedy sets from comedians Gordons, Igos and Emma Oh Ma God as well as performances by Yinka Davies and dance group Ijodi. Completing the night’s A-list lR&Bineup are Efe Paul The Poet and The Poet Donna.
In the mind of event Producer, Clementine Vervelde, “Love Is…The Musical” is set to be the richest and most nuanced in the series thus far.
