The Senate has unanimously accepted and adopted the request for amendment of some sections of the 2016 budget as sent by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The resolution followed a motion moved by Senate Leader, Senator Ali Ndume, on the letter earlier read on the floor by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
After adopting the amendments to the 2016 budget as requested by the presidency, Saraki thanked Senators for the unanimous decision and patriotism.

Saraki also informed Senators that the debate on the general principles of the 2016 budget will commence tomorrow.
