TVC E, POLITICS – The Presidency says it has sent an executive communication to the National Assembly on the 2016 budget.
In a message sent to reporters on Sunday, Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, Ita Enang revealed that the Content of the letter would be read on the floor of the Senate.
Last week, Enang was accused by the Senate of tampering with the original budget presented by President Muhammadu Buhari.
At the end of the Senators closed session, it was reported that the budget was missing and on Thursday, the Senate announced that two versions of the fiscal document were in circulation.
There were also reports that the president had withdrawn the budget but the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed dispelled the claims.
