Top Nigerian marathoner Deborah Pam is expected to participate at the Lagos Access Bank Lagos City Marathon scheduled for February 6, organisers of the event have said.
Pam emerged the best Nigerian female athlete during the last two editions of the Okpekpe Road Race and also the last edition of the 42km Ibadan Marathon in a record time of 3hrs, 3mins and 23secs.
The winners of the men and women’s events at the marathon will go home with $50,000 each, while second and third place finishers will take $40,000 and $30,000 respectively.

The top 20 Nigerians would also be rewarded with cash prizes with the first winning N1m, while the second and third-place winners will receive N750,000 and N500,000 respectively.
