TVC E, NEWS – The Oyo State Government has vowed to honor the late Olubadan of Ibadan Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade, with an all expense paid state burial in February.
Governor Abiola Ajimobi disclosed this to TVC news at the residence of the late monarch in Ibadan.
Ajimobi added that the central government would not be left out of its plans to offer a befitting burial to the late monarch.
Menwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the people of Ibadan and the government of Oyo State on the death of the Oba Odulana.
The President, who also extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the late monarch, described the traditional ruler as a patriot, promoter of peace and champion of the well-being of his subjects.
Buhari noted that the passage of Oba Odulana is a great loss not only to the people of Ibadan, but also the entire country as the rich and wise counsel of the late royal father will be missed.
He said the late Oba Odulana lived well and left behind remarkable imprints for his successor and admirers to emulate.
