The Nigerian Senate says it has set up a committee to search for the alleged missing budget.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki, confirmed this in a response to a point of order by Senator Eyinanya Abaribe on the alleged missing budget.
Saraki says the search team, made up of an unspecified number of Senators, is expected to report back to the Senate in a closed-door session on Thursday.
Speaking in a contradictory tone, Saraki had earlier disclosed to Senators that the 2016 budget will be circulated to them on Thursday (that is tomorrow) in preparation for debate on Tuesday, January 19.
