Islamic State magazine confirms Jihadi John’s death

TVC E, WORLD NEWS – A media outlet associated with Islamic State has confirmed the death of “Jihadi John.”

The Islamic State’s Dabiq magazine released an eulogy to the militant who won global notoriety for his filmed executions of hostages on Tuesday.

The monitoring organisation SITE reported that “Jihadi John,” identified as Mohammed Emwazi, was described in the magazine by his nickname in the group of “Abu Muharib al-Muhajir.”

The U.S. military said in November it was “reasonably certain” it had killed him in a drone strike.

Emwazi is a British citizen of Arab origin.
