Intel Unveils Sixth-Gen vPro Chips

intelIntel is certainly news in the tech world as it unveils its own functionality to run new generation of processors.

Intel designed a technology chip, Intel Authenticate, to foil hackers who use fake emails to trick employees into revealing their usernames and passwords.

The sixth-generation Core vPro processor lineup was made generally available by world’s largest computer-processor maker, Intel. The new security feature baked into the silicon, Intel Authenticate, will be made available immediately for businesses to begin internal testing and qualifying.

The chip could also give IT managers coming up in the future, the option of eliminating long, ever-changing passwords and replacing them with short personal identification numbers, fingerprints and other identifiers.

Intel Authenticate is a multi-factor authentication solution with hardware enhancement that strengthens identity protection on the PC, making it less vulnerable to identity and security credential attacks.

The new line of processors will soon be found in circuit boards of Windows laptop, desktop, tablet and convertible PCs made by HP Inc., Dell, Acer, Asus, Panasonic, Fujitsu, Lenovo and Toshiba.
