Iju-ishaga reisdents protest blackout

TVCE (IJU-ISHAGA) – Residents of Iju Ishaga came out  in their numbers on Monday, to protest against the protracted blackout in their area.

Correspondent Sharon Ijasan reports that over 500 residents of Iju Ishaga community have been living in darkness for more than 6 months.

According to them, their transformer had been removed by PHCN officials since August last year.

Other residents explained to TVC News how not having electricity supply had paralyzed their businesses.

The Ikeja Electricity distribution company and Iju Electricity distribution Company refused to make comment on the development .

But the distraught residents urged the relevant bodies to intervene and ease their pains.
