Former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bello Haliru Mohammed, was arraigned today before a Federal High Court, Abuja, on a four count charge bordering on corruption and criminal breach of trust.
Mr. Bello, who was also a Minister of Defence under the Goodluck Jonathan administration was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), for corruption.
He was brought to court by security operatives in a wheel chair.
The ex-Minister, who is being tried alongside his son, Abbah Mohammed and a company, is alleged to have received N600m from the Office of the National Security Adviser, ONSA, in the name of Bam Properties.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges.
