TVCE [BENIN] – Suspected cult members have beheaded a middle- aged bricklayer identified as Odion Egbegbe on Tuesday night in Ose quarters, Ogida, Benin City, Edo State.
TVC NEWS reliably gathered that Egbegbe’s killing brought to two the number of people killed in the renewed cult war in the city.
Confirming the incident, Divisional Police Officer in the area, Lawrence Adejo, said a barber simply identified as Bright was also killed two weeks ago in the area.
Like Egbegbe, who was dragged out of his apartment, shot and beheaded, Bright was also pulled out of his shop located opposite Ogida police barracks and shot dead, the D.P.O said.
The DPO said the cult war is between the Eiye and Aye confraternity in the area.
