A Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday 20, 2016 ordered the Federal Government to present the immediate past National Security Adviser, Col Sambo Dasuki (retd), in court on February 16.
Justice Adeniyi Ademola made the injunction with respect to the four count charges of money laundering and illegal possession of firearms levelled against Dasuki by the Federal Government.
The Judge said the charges are not related to the other two sets of charges bordering on alleged diversion of arms funds.
It would be re-called that Dasuki was re-arrested this month by the Department of State Service shortly after he was released from Kuje Prison after fulfilling the conditions of bails granted him in December 2015 by Justice Yusuf Baba of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Justice Ademola On Wednesday, made the order for the production of the accused person in court after both the prosecution and the defense lawyers withdrew various interlocutory applications they had earlier filed.
The matter was adjourned till February 16 for commencement of trial, restating his order that the accused must be produced in court.
An Additional date for trial was fixed for February 17.
