TVC E, POLITICS – The Socio Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has released a report insisting that corrupt Judges in Nigeria should no longer be allowed to escape justice.
At the launch of the report tagged, “Go and sin no more: Corrupt Judges escaping from Justice in Nigeria” in Lagos, cases of judicial corruption and the impunity of corrupt judges in the country were highlighted.
The president of SERAP, Adetokunbo Mumuni said judges should not be allowed to avoid accountability for corruption, if judicial impartiality and independence is to be held sacrosanct and access to justice effectively achieved.
He added that lack of judicial accountability for corruption has impeded efforts to fight the scourge at the highest level of government.
