African Footballer of the Year Award splits coaches and ex-players

African-Footballers-Of-The-YearFormer African footballers and coaches are divided on who they think should win the 2015 CAF African Footballer of The Year award holding in Abuja on Thursday.

Former winner of the award Victor Ikpeba and ex Nigerian international Austin Okocha are tipping Yaya Toure to keep the title, while Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh believes Andre Ayew should take it..

Toure, who has won the award for four consecutive years, is nominated for the award along with Gabon’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ghana’s Ayew.

Former Ivory coast manager Harvey Renard and Golden Eaglets’ Head Coach, Emmanuel Amuneke,are listed for ‘Coach of the Year,’ while Nigerian youngsters Kelechi Nwakali and Victor Osimhen are in for ‘Youth Player of the Year.’
