Why l left Maltese league for Wikki – Chukwudi

Samuel Chukwudi
TVC E, SPORTS -Samuel  Chukwudi  and some other Nigerian players have cut short their deal with their Maltese club after the club defaulted on the payment of their entitlements, Sportinglife has reported.
The Wikki Tourists striker and other five FC Taraba players last year travelled to sign for Mosta FC of Malta but the Wikki player told SportingLife that only Fidelis Saviour stayed back with the team while other players from Nigeria that signed have returned to Nigeria.

He revealed that he has returned to Wikki to help the team win the league this term while felt unhappy with his decision to leave the Bauchi side the way he did at a time his services were needed to deliver continental ticket to them.

“I had to return home after the major sponsor of the club withdrew his sponsorship of the club. We were not paid our entitlements again and I had to retrace my steps when I know I am still in demand in Nigeria. I am back to help Wikki win the league,” Chukwudi, who has previously played for Enyimba told SportingLife.
