Bello to be inaugurated as Kogi governor Wednesday

TVC E, POLITICS – Amid controversies of actual running mate, Yahaya Bello, will on Wednesday (January 27) take oath of office as the new Kogi State governor for another four years.

The ceremony will take place at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

Bello, who was born on June 18, 1975 in Agassa, Okene Local Government, will be sworn-in by the Chief Justice of the state in the presence of dignitaries, party men and the public.

President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Bukola Saraki, members of the National and State Assemblies, governors, ministers and captains of industry are expected at the event.

As part of handover preparations, the government under the leadership of outgoing Governor Idris Wada set up a Transition Committee, which has been meeting with a similar committee set up by Governor-elect Bello to ensure a smooth transition.
