TVC E, NEWS – 7 passengers died when the boat they were travelling in capsized in Lagos.
The boat reportedly conveying 17 passengers and two crew was travelling from Ijede en route Badore when it reportedly ran into a dredging barge.
Four people rescued from the accident are receiving treatment at the Ijede General Hospital while the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency is still expecting the passenger manifest.

LASEMA is now advising boat operators and passengers to observe necessary safety measures such as the
use of life jackets and regular checks of boat facilities before embarking on water transportation
